How it works

Get started in three steps

  1. 01

    Install and pick a model

Sign in with TokLens, or add your own API key in settings.

  2. 02

Open a project and say what you want

Pick a project folder, or connect to a server over SSH, then describe the task in plain words, like "The login page overflows on phones. Fix it."

  3. 03

    Check the result

It reads the code, edits files, and runs commands. Depending on your mode, it asks before editing files or running commands, and you can have it write a plan first. What changed and whether the tests passed is all in the conversation.

Why Zenwork

Free

The desktop app is free and has no seat fees. You pay only for models, to the provider you pick or to TokLens.

Ready after install

Sign in with TokLens and start, with no key to set up. If you already have a model service, an API key works too.

The desktop app sends no usage data

We removed the telemetry code. Sessions, memory, and API keys stay on your computer.

Have a second AI check the changes

Hand the changes to another AI for review. It can only read, not edit, and it ends with a verdict: pass, fail, or partial.

Manage it from your phone

Away from your desk, connect to the desktop app from your phone and keep working on the running task.

It remembers your project

Memory is plain text files, kept per project on your computer. You can open and edit them. It's on by default and you can turn it off in settings.

Use cases

Solo and team

Solo developers

Give it a specific task. It reads the code, edits files, and runs tests. You look at the result.

FAQ

FAQ

Does Zenwork cost anything?

The desktop app is free and has no seat fees. You pay only for models, to the provider you pick or to TokLens.

Do you collect my data?

The desktop app sends no usage data. We removed the telemetry code. This website is hosted on Cloudflare and counts visits; see the privacy policy for details.

Do I have to use a specific model?

No. Any service with an OpenAI-compatible API or Anthropic Messages works, or sign in to TokLens and use its models.

Will my code be uploaded?

Files are read and edited on your computer. What goes to the model provider is your conversation and the parts of the code a task needs.

Can I connect to a remote server?

Yes, over SSH or WSL. Once connected, the task runs in the project over there.

Which systems are supported?

macOS 12 or later (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows 10 or later (x64), and Linux (x64 / arm64).
